Scotto Family Cellars is located in Lodi, the heart of California’s wine country. Long known for Old Vine Zinfandel, Lodi is now widely recognized as an appellation that produces other premium wines as well. These award winning Lodi varietals are currently available from our family operated winery:

2016 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon ALC 13.0% RS 0.5% pH 3.66 TA 0.57%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Stainless steel fermentation followed by 18 months in 3rd year French and neutral American oak barrels. Balanced layers of dark fruit and cassis with a hint of oak spice; full bodied with soft tannins.
2017 CHARDONNAY
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Chardonnay ALC 13.0% RS 0.5% pH 3.51 TA 0.65%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Extended fermentation at 55-60°, 60% stainless steel and 40% neutral French and American oak barrels. Delicate citrus and red grapefruit flavors. A touch of acidity extends the finish.
2018 DRY SANGIOVESE ROSE (Mohr-Fry Ranch, Lodi / Lodi Rules)
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Sangiovese ALC 13.0% RS 0.37% pH 3.33 TA 0.60%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Extended stainless steel fermentation at 55° with 24 hours of skin contact. Nicely balanced with hints of raspberry and red cherry; and is dry and crisp on the palate with a long, polished finish.
2017 MALBEC
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 97% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc ALC 13.0% RS 0.7% pH 3.60 TA 0.54%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: A combination of Malbec from 22 year old vineyards in the Borden Ranch AVA and the Clements Hill AVA in the warm terrain at the base of the Sierra Foothills. Plush flavors of plum, blackberries and raspberries.
2015 OLD VINE ZINFANDEL
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Old Vine Zinfandel ALC 13.5% RS 0.7% pH 3.62 TA 0.65%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: Stainless steel fermentation followed by 24 months in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels. Layers of blackberry, dark cherry and spice flavors with a hint of oak and soft tannins for a lingering finish.
2018 VERDELHO (Silvaspoons Vineyard, Alta Mesa, Lodi)
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Verdelho ALC 12.9% RS 0.15% pH 3.32 TA 0.59%
WINEMAKER COMMENTS: This rare grape variety is grown in Lodi's Alta Mesa region by visionary Ron Silva of Silvaspoons Vineyard. It's fresh, dry and crisp with bright, well balanced lemon citrus and floral notes followed by a long, clean finish. Steel fermentation and several months in neutral French oak barrels added complexity. Discover Verdelho - it's ideal with a wide range of seafood, poultry or by itself.
